About the Badger Empire

The current Badgers spawned from the Red Sox of the Granite State Baseball League (GSBL) in 2022 as many players crossed into their 40's and 50's.  The Red Sox were an original GSBL team formed in the early 90s.  Jay Hoyt took over the team from Gary Fisher in 1996 and continues as player/manager today.  The Badgers existed in a brief stint concurrently with the Red Sox when the GSBL formed its own 35+ division.  This division only last two years though with the Badgers claiming the last title.  However, during this time, the Red Sox and Badgers shared some players on the roster and formed the building blocks of a New Hampshire baseball "empire".  The "Badger" name was resurrected when the team moved to the New Hampshire Baseball 35+ league as this league already had a "Red Sox" team.  Today's Badger roster shares players with the Astros of the New England Legends 50+ league and the Muskrats of the GSBL 18+ thus constituting the Badger Empire.
